Services
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over two decades of experience, I provide psychotherapy through secure video conferencing services for clients throughout California.
When someone comes to therapy in pain, my first priority is relief. We begin by addressing the most pressing concerns with practical, solution-focused strategies. From there, we move to deeper and lasting change, often drawing from attachment theory and relational models of therapy—paying close attention to impacts on emotional regulation, self-concept, and patterns of connection in adulthood.
Therapy is collaborative. We move at a pace that fits you.
Individual Therapy
Adolescents and Adults
There are seasons in life when we realize we are in over our heads. You may look capable on the outside and feel anything but steady on the inside. My early years of working in urban schools, non-profits and within the juvenile justice system prepared me to enjoy the nuances of working with teenagers, and I have never lost that passion. As those same teens and young adults have grown right up with me, so has the range of ages I enjoy treating.
Together, we identify what is happening beneath the surface and apply evidence-based strategies that create meaningful change — not just insight, but movement toward achievable goals.
Clients often seek individual therapy for:
Life transitions, grief and loss
Identity, purpose, and self-understanding
Anxiety, sadness, or emotional reactivity
Relationship challenges and clarity
Parenting stress and evolving family roles
This work is both practical and reflective. We address what is urgent while also strengthening the emotional foundation beneath it.
Individual therapy offers space to slow down and think clearly again.
Couples Therapy
Pre-Marital & Parenting
In addition to my clinical work, I have invested time as university faculty, grown through more than two decades of marriage, and raised four children. These lived experiences add depth and dimension that no clinical training alone can fully capture.
Relationships are essential to our well-being, and yet often deeply challenging. Whether preparing for marriage or navigating the complexities of parenting…
Couples therapy provides a structured, supportive space to understand patterns of interaction, strengthen communication, and foster emotional connection, shaping your legacy for years and even generations to come.
I am a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, an evidence-based assessment and enrichment tool commonly used in premarital and relationship work.
I work with couples who are interested in:
Premarital counseling to pro-actively assess relational needs
Improving communication and emotional responsiveness
Clarifying expectations, roles, and shared values
Building a parenting strategy across ages
Navigating technology, boundaries, and identity formation in adolescence
Address specific parenting crises and concerns
Current focus: My online video conferencing modality is best suited for collaborative premarital and parenting support. For couples experiencing high levels of conflict, I recommend in-person therapy.
…intentional reflection can shape the trajectory of years to come.
What to Expect
An initial phone consultation allows us to briefly discuss what brings you in, review scheduling and fees, and determine whether working together feels appropriate. If you prefer to communicate briefly by email, that is also welcome.
Early sessions focus on understanding your concerns, gathering relevant background, and clarifying goals. I approach this process with care, curiosity, and deep respect for the uniqueness of each client’s story.
The length of therapy varies. Some clients seek brief, focused work; others pursue deeper, longer-term exploration. We discuss your preferences and intentions as part of a collaborative process.
Beginning therapy is a personal decision, and finding the right fit matters.
Online Therapy
While I value the depth of in-person work, online video conferencing technology has proven to be a meaningful and effective option for many individuals and families.
The online therapy modality removes common barriers—traffic, childcare, work schedules—making support more accessible.
For now, my practice is fully online. Should in-person services return in the future, I will update this space accordingly.
Many clients find meeting from the privacy of their home allows for consistency and ease.
